Four Counties Addiction Services Team (Fourcast) has been awarded funds from Ontario's Addiction Recovery Fund to establish new residential services in Peterborough.

These services include six (6) residential withdrawal management beds and six (6) residential addiction treatment beds.


About The Position...


We are looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about addiction treatment and the delivery of exceptional addiction treatment services.

You have demonstrated experience in leading and managing highly functioning interdisciplinary teams in a 24/7 setting.

Under the leadership of the Director of Programs, your exceptional project management skills are perfectly suited for this "start up" as you will have the authority to shape and execute the program and staffing models.

You will have operational responsibility for this 24/7 facility with a staff complement of approximately 18 employees consisting of full-time and part
- time job categories.


Your adept familiarity with Ontario's addiction treatment landscape, particularly in the context of residential programs, will enable you to ensure our program's alignment with all provincial standards and regulations.

Drawing from your extensive experience in healthcare operations, you possess a deep understanding of scheduling, staffing, human resources, quality enhancement, and risk mitigation.

You will work Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:30pm, with some evening and weekend coverage as needed. In addition, you will have rotational on-call duties as a member of the management team.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:


Program Management

  • Provides operational and administrative supervision to both medical and nonmedical staff.
  • Coaches staff to ensure the provision of safe and effective care, including medication administration and use of structured withdrawal monitoring scales.
  • Ensures the team develops individualized support and transition plans for clients.
  • Supports and monitors implementation of protocols to assist withdrawal from substances.
  • Liaises with community partners, such as pharmacy, RAAM Clinic, and Hospital, to ensure optimal client care.
  • Monitors data quality and medication reconciliation to support program improvement activities.
  • Supports and monitors the implementation of residential addiction treatment in accordance with established program model and approach.
  • Monitors and supports effective bed flow to ensure maximum service utilization.
  • Ensures a safe and clean facility for staff and service users.

Management Team Responsibilities

  • Actively participates as a member of the Management Team to achieve the agency's vision, mission, and values.
  • Contributes to the establishment of strategic goals, by designing and executing programs and change strategies that align with the organizations vision and strategic direction.
  • Implements, analyzes, reviews, and recommends changes to the program and operational policy and procedures.
  • Participates on various internal and external committees, including attending Board meetings as required.
  • Identifies, develops and maintains strategic partnerships that support and enhance the longterm direction of the organization.
  • Ensures compliance of organizational and legislated policies to the highest ethical, legal and professional standards.
  • Identifies and acts on opportunities to improve processes to achieve better practices and service user outcomes.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, conflict resolution and return to work processes.
  • Understands available resources and keeps quality in the forefront of all resource utilization decisions; provides feedback and detailed analysis on budget variances and makes recommendations for corrective action.
  • Effectively anticipates the likely results of decisions and actions, foreseeing longerterm and broad, strategic implications of decisions.
  • Identifies and implements programs, approaches and practices that support creativity, innovation and continuous quality improvement across the organization.
  • Creates systems to monitor, review and evaluate the performance of assigned programs to ensure that services provided are in compliance with funding agreements, internal and external policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Monitors program budgets and resources, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization.
  • Reviews and analyzes service reports and other program data (statistical and financial) to evaluate programs and identify emerging service trends and opportunities for quality improvements.
  • Leads change management by defining objectives and establishing guidelines that ensure transparency, accountability, and risk control during the change process.
  • Develops risk mitigation and contingency plans and escalates critical issues to senior management as needed.
