Description of the Position:
We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our Toronto office. This role will support the HR Director.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Process (Talent Acquisition process)
  • Confirms job description and develops a posting;
  • Tracks and files all resumes;
  • Conducts applicant screening;
  • Participates in first line interviews as required;
  • Manages offer letter process for summer / coop / interns, full time, regular staff and part time staff.
  • New hire, Onboarding and Orientation
  • Manages new hire checklist
  • Learning and development
  • Manages the corporate calendar for HR managed training;
  • Sets up and manages rooms, materials, trainers and participants for each session;
  • Tracks completion of programs and follows up where completion is required;
  • Sources appropriate courses externally.
  • Talent management
  • Provides support to change initiatives and plans, as required;
  • Develops / maintains company organizational structure / chart.
  • Total Rewards
  • Maintains and keeps all job descriptions (in the form of a company catalogue);
  • Provides support for all compensation communications (includes salary increases, bonus payments, promotions);
  • HR dashboard and administration systems and platforms
  • Runs HR metric reports;
  • Analyses and provides insights on HR data;
  • Reviews exit interviews for trends and presents such with recommendations to HR director;
  • Responds to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provides required assistance.
  • Best practices and competitiveness for all HR initiatives, processes and programs
  • Supports the implementation of plans

Education + Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or HR Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years HR experience
  • Previous experience in an HR role would be advantageous
  • Expert Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent communicator written, over the phone and in person
  • People person
  • Selfstarter and desire to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Discreet in handling sensitive and confidential issues
  • Selfdriven with a 'can do' attitude

$48,713.00-$52,192.00 per year
