At Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, we have an immediate opening for a Front Desk Agent If you are a dynamic individual who is passionate about delivering authentic and unique guest experiences, we want you


What You Will Do:


  • Provide excellent guest service, meeting and exceeding external & internal guests' needs and requests
  • Accurate and timely checkin and checkout of resort guests
  • Perform Reservations and Switchboard duties, as required
  • Generate extra revenue through the employ of selling strategies and daily upselling
  • Follow and maintain all corporate practices as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual
  • Daily balancing of individual work, as well as maintaining a cash float
  • Will be required on occasion to provide guest service during an overnight shift

What You Need to Succeed:


  • High school diploma or equivalent. Postsecondary education in Tourism and Hospitality or equivalent hotel experience is a definite asset
  • Minimum of 2 years in a frontline customer service role, handling currency and processing payment transactions
  • Previous Guest Service / Front Desk experience is an asset
  • Proficient use of computers (familiarity with Five Star is an asset)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to show initiative and efficiently work independently
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be flexible in availability. Shifts include evenings, weekends, holidays and occasional overnightsIf you have a pleasant and adaptable personality, we want to hear from you
