Our client is looking for a professional with a passion for Internet networking and ProAV video to join their product management team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, document and plan the deployment of IP video product integration into IP networks for broadcast and ProAV infrastructures.
- Work with customers to commission and troubleshoot networks.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical support departments to improve IP video product offerings based on realworld needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for implemented networks and new technologies.
- Develop and refine best practices.
Requirements:
- College diploma in computer science, computer networking or related field, combined with at least 3 years recent relevant technical experience.
- Solid skills and comfort with Linux/Unix.
- Indepth knowledge of IP networking protocols such as IGMPv2/v3, RIP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
- Experience in managing "complex" networks involving security, scale, performance, and availability/reliability, including maintaining perfect availability and latency for live events.
- Expertise in Internet networking technologies such as DNS, firewall, SSH, HTTP.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate rigor and followthrough in your work.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Assets:
- Experience in network troubleshooting;
- Experience with SAN, CIFS, NFS technologies;
- Knowledge of Internet Protocol Engineering (IPE); Ethernet/IP stack; IPv4, IPv6, packet analysis;
- Experience in designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging and administering the following network protocols and technologies: ACL, ARP, BGP (RFC 4271), DHCP, Ethernet 1G/10G (IEEE 802.3ab and IEEE 802.3 ae), Flow Control, ICMP, IGMP, IPv4 and IPv6, LACP, LLDP, MPLS, NAT, Open Flow, OSPF (RFC 2328), PIM, QOS, RIP, Sflow, SNMP, STP/RSTP/MST (IEEE 802.1d ), VARP/VRRP, VLAN (IEEE 802.1q), VRF
