Our Brampton location is presently looking for
Manager, Hospital & Specialty Business.


As a highly successful Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales and promotion of the company's hospital and specialty portfolio to key stakeholders and decision makers.

This includes calling and detailing various hospital and specialty business partners in order to effectively position Taro Pharmaceuticals as a solid industry partner.

You will work with marketing to develop effective tools and programs to enhance Taro's offering to hospitals, hospital buying groups, specialty clinics and specialty stakeholders.

In addition, you will work with internal partners in the development of value add offerings that differentiate Taro Pharmaceuticals from the competitors.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Achieves / exceeds annual net sales targets in hospital and specialty
  • Maximize current portfolio sales and profitability
  • Analyze, develop and implement tactical business plans for short to midterm growth
  • Position the company as a key competitor in the hospital and specialty sectors
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with key industry stakeholders, including hospital buy groups, hospitals, Drug Access Navigators and Cancer Care Centres
  • Working with Hospital Manager, analyze contract performance to commitments and identify variances to sales budgets
  • Work with internal stakeholders to mitigate supply challenges
  • Work with Specialty Business Director to identify key opportunities and potential partnerships within the Taro's growing specialty portfolio
  • Identify key areas of development to increase success within oncology sector
  • Work with Business Development and Marketing to identify potential pipeline opportunities within Hospital and Specialty
  • Work in matrix environment with input from the Marketing, Business Intelligence and Sales Directors
  • Identify best practices and value added opportunities; build/enhance selling processes and procedures
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences as required by management
  • Manage territory expenses appropriately and within budget

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Welldeveloped stakeholder relationships: KOL, Pharmacy, Physicians, Buy Groups and Hospitals
  • Strong understanding of specialty, hospital and/or oncology sectors in Canada
  • Experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry including knowledge of government regulations and formularies related to the hospital/specialty business in Canada
  • Good understanding of health care; provincial and federal regulations/political issues that directly impact the hospital sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven sales performance, effective negotiator
  • Must be a team player but work effectively with mínimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities; innovative thinker
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

  • College or University degree in Science or Business, or equivalence in Related Sales Experience
  • Minimum of 57 years pharmaceutical industry experience in sales/marketing
  • Preferred 3+ years experience in generic pharmaceutical or hospital sales
  • Bilingual in French/English an asset
  • Ability to travel across country (approximately 1015%)
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required
