Community Living Victoria (CLV) is the largest non-profit community living service provider on Vancouver Island, and provides a range of support services to children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Support Summary


A is a 31 year old woman who is looking for a worker to help her get active in the community.

A would like some support accessing the gym and pool, as well as helping her with her physio exercises. Some of A's interests include shopping, getting her nails done, going for coffee or drives.

She requires a support worker who is creative, fun loving, accepting, positive, a good listener, and encourages her to engage in accessing community and getting out of the house.


The applicant should:
- have previous experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and autism
- have a current first aid certification or be willing to re-certify
- willing to consent to a Criminal Record Check through the Ministry of Justice
- have a Class 5 Driver's license and vehicle
- be creative, flexible, friendly, and able to establish trust
- be health conscious and in good health
- be fully vaccinated
- be okay with wearing a mask in some situations

Wage:
$19.88 per hour + mileage and expenses

This position is an independent contract and as such, contractors are not employees of Community Living Victoria.

These contracts are renewed on an annual basis contingent upon both parties wanting to continue the contract, and if credentials are up to date.


Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
