Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Administration of Windows, Unix, and Virtual Infrastructure in a multiclient environment.
  • AWS, Azure knowledge/certifications an asset.
  • Responsible for Incident response, including ongoing monitoring of issues, trend identification, and collaboration with other technical members in establishing and executing solution approach.
  • Planning, coordinating and executing vulnerability remediation in compliance with set security standards.
  • Utilizes software and hardware tools to diagnose and resolve security incidents following agreedupon procedures.
  • Implements solutions and performs modifications, installation, and maintenance.
  • Conducts assessments and reports vulnerabilities. monitors their ongoing management with the operations teams.
  • Controls, monitors and verifies the compliance of the security controls put in place by the operations team and/or implements the operational components (e.g. software currency).
  • Create, suspend and delete security accounts and endpoints on the servers.
  • Knowledge of SAN, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, UNIX, VM. Disk space management, server hardware configuration/repair.
  • Is responsible for resolving problems in compliance with all established procedures.
  • Use standard tools and procedures to carry out the established service deliveries and maintenance tasks.
  • Implement planned changes (server configuration, upgrades, repairs, etc.).
  • Coordinate the delivery of services in cooperation with other leveltwo service groups (Security, Virtualization, Network), levelthree technical specialists, and external suppliers.
  • Respond to client requests based on contractual conditions.
  • Follow established ITIL processes for managing incidents, tasks, and requests for changes.
  • Ensure the development and update of procedures and operational documentation.
  • Implement solutions, modifications, installations, and maintenance tasks when required.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by the management team.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Industry Standard best practices.
  • Motivated and proactive selfstarter.
  • Excels working in a teamoriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent fluency in English (spoken and written). French language skills are an asset.
  • Hours of work 7 x 24 x 365, onsite shift work is required, with some opportunity to work from home on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance of Level II (Secret).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • University or College degree in Computer and/or Network administration with directly related practical experience OR 23 years of experience in a client supporting technical role (helpdesk, service desk, system administrator, etc.) with some basic knowledge of operational security products like antivirus, data encryption, etc.
  • ITIL certification is an asset.
