BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SALES PROFESSIONAL
Cornwall's award-winning Transport Company, Seaway Express, is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Professional who will be responsible for fostering and developing new customer relationships.
Their goal is to achieve revenue/ bottom-line growth within our service area and includes a competitive salary with extended health benefits.
This full-time position is based in Cornwall, Ontario.Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue/sales/bottomline results for assigned portfolio of customers and by securing new customers.
- Identify and secure, upsell and cross sell opportunities with new prospects and current customers for additional revenue.
- Build & maintain strong relationships and a network of prospects.
- Internal Collaboration with Operations and Pricing.
- Utilize customer feedback to identify areas of opportunity to improve account management performance as well as build and execute action plans to better meet expectations.
- Conduct business reviews, preparing and communicating periodic sector KPI reports with customers to help them compare their actual versus budgeted amounts and track the progress accordingly.
- Proactively anticipate customer's business needs and identify opportunities to establish a longterm business relationship; thereby fully integrating our services throughout a customers' network.
- Analyze costing models and maintain threshold gross margins and implement yearly contractual price adjustments.
- Introduce customers to the latest technology, policies, processes, and recommendations to reduce cost through supply chain efficiencies.
- Comprehensive understanding of the customers supply chain, their strategies, and goals.
- Defined account plan that consists of actions which drive continuous improvement, customer satisfaction & growth.

- Background in transportation industry is an asset
