Qualifications:


  • Academic background in accounting and bookkeeping, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (esp. Word, Excel)
  • Experience in real estate development and construction accounting required
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Detailoriented and able to prioritize
  • Able to work under fastpace environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties:


  • Manage financial filing system
  • Use QB or other computer software to manage reports and track financial data
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Deposit cheques and prepare invoices
  • Manage and track project budgets
  • Verify or reconcile bank transactions and issue cheques
  • Compile data for tax returns
  • Prepare or create project proformas
  • Prepare and process expense reports for staff and management
  • Prepare and coordinate lending and legal reports
  • Assist project managers and oversee administrative operations relate to project budgeting, contract payment processes
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic progress reports, manuals and correspondences
  • Keep company filing and legal status organized to meet deadlines for external accountants, internal audits and legal consuls
  • Other duties assigned by the management

Pay:
$45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
