About Evolution
Evolution Land Surveying is a growing and ever-evolving professional land surveying firm in BC.
We are a small and highly versatile land surveying team, located in the City of Surrey, providing a full spectrum of cadastral land surveying and related services.
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and trustworthy BC Land Surveyor with a minimum of three years of local experience.
As a key member of our tight-knit group, you will play a crucial role in conducting land surveys, certifying survey plans, and ensuring accurate and precise deliverables for our clients.
Requirements:
- Keen to learn modern technologies and embrace modern style of collaboration.
- Ability and willingness to work for extended periods.
- Experience in land development, including building strata plan (highrise, midrise, townhouse, rowhouse), fee simple subdivisions, topographic surveys, and construction surveys.
- BC Land Surveyor designation and membership in good standing with the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors (ABCLS).
- Minimum of three years of local experience as a BC Land Surveyor, period of land surveyor in training inclusive.
- Strong understanding of local regulations, bylaws, and surveying practices within Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley of BC.
- Proficiency in using Microsurvey software for data processing, analysis and drafting.
- Knowledge in operation of Leica robotic total stations and GNSS devices for accurate and efficient fieldwork.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for precise interpretation and analysis of survey data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently AND as part of a small, highly versatile team.
- Demonstrated trustworthiness and commitment to the team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of land surveyor's team members
- Discharge land surveyor's duties from research, boundary resolution through to plan certification
- Ensure quality of deliverables and expected project timelines
- Prepare survey plans based on collected data and legal requirements, adhering to local regulations, survey rules and practice manual
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and all surveying activities are completed accurately and efficiently
- Provide expertise and guidance to junior surveying staff, promoting their professional development and ensuring highquality work
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and planners, to support project design and development
