Permanent Position Overview:

Reporting to the Global Infrastructure Architect, the Global Core Architect will be a service owner for key global services and responsible for implementation, deployment and management of highly available global solutions for Finning.

Working closely with internal business teams, vendors, and partners across all Finning regions, you will develop and maintain core infrastructure services to meet operational goals for high availability, performance, stability, security and cost efficiency.

Initiate and participate in technology projects.
Oversee or consult on business projects.
Creation of roadmap, design, implementation, and operation planning activities.
Collaborate with operations teams for contract management, monitoring, and optimization.
Evaluate technology industry and market trends determining the impact of technology changes on user experience.
Architecture and implementing solutions in a global enterprise environment.
Experience with hardware, software, and solutions in area of responsibility.
Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues
Develop, implement, and enhance service delivery health, including key performance indicators of the services for which you are responsible
Design of service offerings and standard configurations.
Ensure all relevant Architecture and Infrastructure documentation is up to date and accurate.
Provide recommendations on technology to meet business and technical objectives.
Minimum 5-10 years of demonstrable technical expertise in complex infrastructure and compute environments
Domain Controller maintenance and configuration for complex deployments/large enterprises including AD convergence and replication optimization
for automation
Demonstrable experience maintaining the hygiene of user accounts and Group Policies Objects (GPOs) throughout the AD forest
Experience working with vendors to review service offerings, solutions, and pricing to achieve project objectives
Familiar with products and solutions from vendors such as, but not limited to, VMware, Citrix, AWS, Red Hat and SUSE an asset
Knowledge and experience with ITIL methodology including incident, change, problem, request, and event management an asset
Relevant industry certifications are considered an asset
Must be fluent in English (verbal and written), Spanish would be an asset
