Project Manager
We are a well-established organization in the midst of a significant transformation.

As we shift our focus to become a single-function regulatory body, we recognize the importance of fostering professional growth and collaboration within our industry.

To achieve this, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to spearhead the development of a provincial professional association.

This role will be instrumental in driving the strategic priorities of our organization and in ensuring successful implementation of key initiatives.

Position Overview

As the Project Manager for Organization Change and Professional Association Development, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a diverse range of activities aimed at establishing and nurturing a provincial professional association.

Working closely with a dedicated steering committee, you will guide and influence the development of core items including incorporation, web and brand design, membership criteria, and operational processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with the steering committee to define the strategic vision, mission, goals and objectives of the professional association
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan and budget; ensuring timelines, deliverables and resource requirements
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings with the steering committee, providing guidance, support and direction throughout the development
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform decisionmaking benchmark against industry best practices and identify opportunities for innovation
  • Manage the incorporation process, liaising with legal professionals to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and bylaws
  • Oversee the design and development of the association's website, ensuring it reflects the organization's brand's identity and provides an engaging user experience
  • Develop effective strategies for promoting the association, attracting members, and fostering community engagement
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive membership framework, including criteria, benefits and fee structures
  • Collaboratively plan an event to share project status and facilitate a means to obtain input from membership (Spring Summit)
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively communicate updates
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration within the broader organization structure. Qualifications
  • Education Credentials in Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
  • Proven Experience as a Project Manager, preferably in organizational change management or association development
  • Strong understanding of the project management methodologies, tolls, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in crossfunctional teams and driving successful outcomes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and shareholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex information and make datadriven decisions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
This position is a contract position. The selected individual be measured on performance by the SDHA CEO/R and responsible for direct reporting. While working independently they will have resources made available to them.

This contracted position has a firm end date of no later than November 1, 2024, with no future employment promised.

It is anticipated that the position will require part-time commitment of approximately hours/week, understanding that there may be times when a greater commitment is necessary.
