ECE – 6 Week Fixed-Term Contract (Sub Teacher)

About Us

IC Early Learning Center is a licensed childcare program in Burnaby with a strong focus on high-quality practice, teamwork, and professional standards.

We are currently hiring a Sub Teacher on a 6-week fixed-term contract to support our classroom during a temporary staff transition.

Depending on future staffing needs and performance, there may be an opportunity to transition into a long-term position.

Your Responsibilities

• Build caring relationships with infants/toddlers
• Support developmentally appropriate activities
• Maintain safety & active supervision
• Collaborate with co-teachers
• Document children's progress (guidance provided)
• Communicate professionally with families
• Participate in team discussions as needed

Requirements

• BC ECE Licence
• Valid CRC
• First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
• Warm, patient, professional attitude

Compensation & Schedule

ECE: $19–$20/hr + Wage Enhancement

(depending on experience)

Contract Length: 6 weeks (Fixed-Term)

Schedule: 9 AM- 4:30 PM

Days: Monday–Friday
