    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the IT Manager you will join the CAE Core IT Team and will be primarily responsible for the support and enhancement of our AWS and Azure Cloud Hosting Services by overseeing the operation, configuration, and monitoring of our cloud platform services. In addition, you will be responsible of the implementation, deployment, maintenance and evolution of cloud services and environment provided by AWS and Azure.

    As a secondary role, you will ensure the local infrastructure is up to date and support the troubleshooting of issues with the assistance of our third party partner. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to various technologies including Windows 11, Windows Server -, Office Apps, Windows inTune, Hyper-V, Trend Micro, SQL databases & servers, SCCM, autopilot, WSUS, VMware, and many others.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    AWS and Azure Cloud Hosting Services:

  • Monitor and analyze resource usage and performance, recommend system capabilities, ensure cloud resource availability, reliability, security, and integrity.
  • Maintain Virtual Cloud Network and Firewall, Routing/NAT Rules, VPN, etc.
  • Provide all the necessary assistance to the DevOps team to deploy and operate monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure visibility of systems' behavior and take actions accordingly.
  • Perform system and data backup regularly, check the completion of backup, and verify the recovery procedure.
  • Define and implement permission policies for cloud resources.
  • Ensure information security policy standards are managed and maintained in alignment with security best practices, including role assignment, vulnerability assessment, encryption and antivirus.
  • Responsible of technical documentations and processes for maintaining products cloud
  • IT System Administrator:

  • Conduct servers and systems repairs, upgrades, patches and installations
  • Ensure servers & computers' critical vulnerabilities are addressed timely
  • Update and periodically test Disaster Recovery procedures
  • Provide the Tier 3 IT support (10% time max) for the staff across the organization, including ad-hoc out of hours' support due to 24/7 nature of the business
  • Occasional Tier 2-1 IT Support (~5-10% time max) for on-site users
  • Provide experts advise to IT Helpdesk Admins and assist in troubleshooting major issues
  • Collaborate with other IT teams located worldwide in all time-zones
  • CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A technical school, an IT or Engineering degree or relevant equivalent experience
  • Min. 3 years in AWS and Azure cloud hosting
  • Min. 5 years working in a Global IT environment
  • Familiar with Windows Server (IIS), SQL Server and .NET Web Application Hosting, Proxy and Web Application Firewall, Azure Entra ID and DevOps, Amazon/Azure Cloud Services.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Power Shell and Python script, SQL Language, RESTful web services.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and compliance standard
  • Basic ability to administer switches & routers (Cisco) to troubleshoot them with 3rd party Network Support providers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and high attention to details
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills using logic and search engines
  • Self-motivated and able to think on one's feet unsupervised
  • Ability to work on your own as well as a part of the team, out of hours (overnight /weekends when applicable
