Compensation:
$23/hour

Position Summary:

Are you passionate about supporting individuals who experience barriers to housing? Do you want to be part of innovative solutions to housing in Vancouver? The Housing Support Coordinator will work alongside participants in the Employment Readiness Program to provide support in researching, applying, and sustaining stable housing.

This position also involves building partnerships with key housing stakeholders in the community, social housing research, and completing impact assessments.

Paid coaching training will be provided, leading to a certificate in Leadership Coaching.

The Housing Support Coordinator will:

Lead the Housing Support Program at Mission Possible
Meet oneonone with participants and let them lead with their own housing goals; utilizing a coach approach
Accompany participants offsite to housing meetings or appointments
Build and expand Mission Possible's partnerships with housing providers, agencies, and stakeholders in the community
Research latest developments in social housing and provide uptodate resources to participants
Conduct surveys, impact assessments, and write reports to develop best practices for supporting participants who are atrisk for homelessness
Facilitate housing workshops for participants on tenant rights, landlord responsibilities, budgeting, and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Experience with partnership building and communitybased research is an asset
Experience working with individuals who experience barriers to housing is an asset

Requirements:
