    Position Overview

    Are you driven to build better tools for the creative professionals who make the film, TV, and games that entertain and educate the world? Autodesk's Entertainment & Media Solutions team is hiring a Principal Content Strategist . You will report to our Senior Manager of Content Design as part of the Experience Design Standards team. The goal of our Experience Design Standards team is to drive design impact, collaborating with XD teams to produce the design artefacts to help us scale and deliver consistent, efficient, and productive user experiences. You will help us deliver user experiences, learning content, and developer resources for artists and technical creatives who build their creative masterpieces on Flow, our Media & Entertainment industry cloud. Join an experienced design team that works every day to make our tools easier to use. You'll provide thought leadership, vision, frameworks and governance models to help the design team deliver clear, cohesive, and consistent content experiences across a network of connected products and services on Autodesk Flow. You'll take ownership of our industry group terminology, style, and information architecture, and guide others on how best to apply these models.

    Responsibilities

  • Define a vision, purpose, and strategy for developing content and controlled language that supports the business goals of our M&E industry team, including recommendations for how we measure success, evaluate, and improve on our content decisions
  • Collaborate as an equal thought leader with our Engineering, Architecture, Marketing, and Product partners, providing the human-centered design point of view as we work together to build the M&E industry cloud
  • Provide design leadership , frameworks (IA, OOUX), and content governance models to ensure all designers can express a consistent, cohesive voice throughout our connected Flow products and services (including APIs/SDKs), driving broader Autodesk style and governance models
  • Build taxonomy and glossaries to keep terminology aligned across the company and within our industry, representing the EMS point of view in cross-company teams
  • Drive collaboration efforts across the ecosystem of content creators within Autodesk, ensuring our content production efforts are efficient, aligned, and achieving our shared goals for Flow adoption
  • Design and facilitate workshops and discussions with users and internal teams, ensuring our naming and language decisions reflect a shared understanding of the target user mental model and industry
  • Participate, contribute, and actively represent EMS in company-wide strategic initiatives , distilling information from those broader company initiatives back to the team
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' experience as a content designer, design strategist, or experience architect
  • Proven ability to research, understand, and relay complex and technical subjects , presenting them to others in a clear, approachable manner
  • Demonstrated ability to align big picture design thinking with business goals to provide teams with frameworks and guidelines for successful execution.
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in visual storytelling and delivering compelling presentations
  • Proven skills in human-centered design methods & practice.
  • Exceptional communication & presentation skills, with a capacity for effectively communicating both big ideas and detailed nuance as necessary
  • Ability to thrive and create clarity when project requirements are agile, rapidly and constantly evolving
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Production experience in a TV, film, or games studio/pipeline environment, passion for improving the M&E industry, film & TV production, 3d visualization, or games
  • Experience as a design leader, energy & interest in coaching and mentoring others
  • Portfolio or certification that demonstrates expertise with OOUX, information architecture, or both
  • Familiarity with API/SDK design and knowledge, understanding, or experience with developer audiences
  • Understanding of LLM and their application particularly with conversational interfaces/conversational design
