DUTIES/


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finance and Database Intern


Reporting to:

Finance Manager**
Finance and Administrative duties:Work directly with the _Finance Manager_ to support the finance and operations of the foundation.


This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Accounts Payable
  • Verify coding of expenses and preparation of cheques.
  • Bank Deposits
  • Assist with reconciliation of monthly Visa reports.
  • Salesforce input, management & donor management support
  • Back up bookkeeping and scanning of journal entries into QuickBooks.
  • Salesforce data management
  • Preparation of GST/HST return (biannually)
  • Assist with preparation of Charity Tax Return with the CRA & 990 (IRS)
  • Budget template creation
  • General financial support of JCF events
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in University or College education in Finance & Accounting, or related area of study.
  • Experience in the NotforProfit sector an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Expert in Excel & knowledge of QuickBooks an asset
  • Knowledge of Salesforce for Nonprofit an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, excellent as the development of systems and processes
  • Ability to multitask and meet required deadlines.
  • Team player and ability to see the big picture goals of the organization.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

Up to 10%
