About the position


ANBL is seeking a Manager of Business Intelligence to oversee the design, development, and implementation of BI and analytics tools across the organization.

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Business Intelligence and managing a small team of data analysists, the Manager of Business Intelligence will assist leaders to understand their reporting and data needs to make data-driven decisions.


Responsibilities include:


  • Leading the development and implementation of BI strategies, tools, and systems to support business objectives
  • Collaborating with leaders to identify data needs and aligning BI solutions with business goals
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy in all BI tools and systems
  • Analyzing data trends and patterns to identify opportunities for improvement and help drive decisionmaking
  • Recommending new tools and systems to improve reporting and analytics capabilities

About you
You have the reputation for "getting things done", with a focus on improving quality, efficiency, and cost.

You bring a breadth of experience across various functions to support organization-wide BI initiatives and related projects, while ensuring that BI and analytics are embedded into business processes.


As a leader, you are a role model who manages, motivates, and coaches your team to achieve their goals, while promoting their contributions across the organization.

You can easily work across multiple departments to drive results, as you develop the vision, set goals, and establish accountability.


Technical stack and tools

  • Microsoft GP (Great Plains) and D365,
  • Microsoft Power BI, Data warehousing tools, Analysis Services
  • Azure data tools (Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks)

What do you need to be successful?

  • 3+ years managing a Finance, Analytics, or BI team
  • Expert experience in data analysis, data modeling, and data optimization
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivot tables, and automation
  • Experience with the MS Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate)
  • Experience with data transformation and modeling tools (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Power Query, etc.)

It would be fantastic if you also had

  • Experience in or exposure to the retail sector
  • Previous experience developing and implementing system automations for data analytics
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of Python and/or R

Location

  • Reporting into the ANBL Retail Operations Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick
