Forklift Operator - Ottawa, Canada - Rinker Materials
Description
Job description- Successfully operate a forklift (from 4,000lbs. to 55,000lbs.)
- Must complete daily inspection of forklift and corresponding written documentation.
- Effectively handle concrete products without causing damage to personnel, product, or property.
- The incumbent needs to be able to work flexible schedule
- Successfully take and pass lift truck operation course and assessments.
- Must maintain safety practices and adhere to Company safety guidelines at all times, maintain a clean work area, free of safety hazards.
- Must have 3 to 6 months of larger forklift or heavy equipment experience.
- Previous concrete experience desired but not required.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures both written and oral.
- Be required to read the load slip and signing off the load slip when the product has been loaded.
- Must be able to read drawings for manhole products
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
40 hours a week
