Role Overview
Our Trades Assistant play an important role in providing emergency and preventative maintenance to our manufacturing equipment and machinery.
This role requires membership in the Teamsters Union, Local 213.
Main Responsibilities

Provide maintenance to our manufacturing equipment and machinery
Preventative maintenance inspections (including repairs and adjustments)
Rebuild/repair gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, prime movers, and hoists
Reduce unplanned breakdowns and increase planned and preventative initiatives
Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

Compensation

Base Pay:

- $36.20 per hour
- $36.92 per hour effective July 1, 2024

Premiums:
Tool Premium $0.20 per hour

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 7:00am 3:30pm

What You'll Bring

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting, assisting Millwrights in all aspects of the Trade.
Must have experience in gearbox repairs, pneumatic and hydraulic repair, overhead cranes, and basic troubleshooting skills.
Strong problemsolving skills, ability to recognize and assist in resolving issues
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High aptitude for quick learning
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Computer literacy and data entry skills
