McMichael Canadian Art Collection
Located one hour north of Toronto, The McMichael Canadian Art Collection offers its visitors a unique Canadian experience.

From the art within its walls to the surrounding landscape, the McMichael is the perfect gallery for an introduction to Canada's art, its peoples, their cultures and their history.

The four floors of Gallery, exhibition, and programming space, including library and archives, are surrounded by 100 acres of conservation land.

The McMichael Canadian Art Collection ranks among Canada's top public galleries in size and significance.

The McMichael permanent collection consists of over 7,000 artworks by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, their contemporaries, and First Nations, Métis, Inuit and contemporary artists who have contributed to the development of the art of Canada.

One third of the McMichael's collection is Indigenous art.

The McMichael collection is supplemented by the long-term loan of over 100,000 drawings, prints, and sculptures from the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative Ltd., based in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, Nunavut).

To remain vital and relevant to the interests of its diverse audiences, the McMichael presents temporary special exhibitions that broaden perspectives on art and present Canadian art in a global context.

The Assistant Registrar, Exhibitions, assists with administration of exhibitions and loans, including issuing loan agreements and arranging for shipping and insurance, and is responsible for incoming and outgoing shipping coordination.

Additional Info:
Position is hybrid: on site at the McMichael initially for training, and remote as determined appropriate. Rate of pay is $23-$24/hr., plus 4% vacation pay, defined benefit pension matching, reciprocal attractions, paid sick days.
