Description

The
Trailer+ Roll Off Driver is responsible for the hauling of customer waste from industrial, commercial, and institutional sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes.
Job Duties

Satisfy customer needs for service
Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies
Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections, and daily driver log book
Complete an assigned daily route as assigned by Dispatch.
Daily route consists of driving to customer sites, secure bin on truck, empty bin at transfer station/landfill, return bin to customer site
Perform driver checkins at day's end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
Required to tarp loads
Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 2550 pounds
May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisor/Site Manager
Required to follow all applicable Provincial and Federal transportation laws

Requirements:

Ability to perform physical exertions such as repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling items that weight up to 30 pounds as part of their daily routine
12 years driving experience in a transportation sector (Minimum for insurability)
Able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent decision making skills
Ability to follow specified guidelines and procedures
Must be able to follow safety procedures
Walking floor trailer experience is an asset
Must have valid Class 1 License with air brake endorsement
