As a Manager, Product Development, a typical day will include:

Working closely with:
Practice Group Leaders, Account Executives, Account Managers, and Marketers to identify product opportunities specific to their books of business;
Director, Market Management to negotiate growth agreements and incentives for new products with markets;
Internal Claims team to identify trends and gaps in coverage for product development;
Internal Marketing to develop sell sheets and presentations for new products; and
Internal Underwriter where products are specific to binding authorities.
Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for insurance product development, both within Axis existing book of business and for potential new clientele
Leading benchmarking projects
Leveraging market relationships to negotiate specific products
Managing a team of insurance professionals

Must haves:

At least 810 years of Commercial Insurance experience
General Agent Level II Insurance license through the Insurance Council of BC

You want a leg up?

CAIB or CIP insurance designation
Knowledge of EPIC
