Description

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Entering accurate vendor invoices in a timely manner
  • Matching received purchase orders to invoices and resolving any differences
  • Communicating with staff and managers to ensure proper processing and approvals on supplier invoices
  • Ensuring accurate posting for sales taxes
  • Posting intercompany transactions
  • Processing payments as required by credit card, cheque, or online banking
  • Reviewing aged payables and ensuring payment deadlines are met
  • Processing expense and credit card reports in accordance with company policy
  • Preparing monthend close procedures of accounts payable by ensuring:
  • Unprocessed/outstanding expenses and invoices are properly posted
  • Reconciling posted data to vendor statements and communication with vendors on any discrepancies
  • Ensuring proper paper and digital filing systems are maintained for vendor invoices
  • Maintaining accurate uptodate information in our supplier database
  • Understanding relevant software programs for processing invoices and recording data; know how to resolve discrepancies related to invoices
  • Preparing and post other general journal entries as required
  • Maintaining the prepaid expense subledger
  • Make recommendations to improve quality receiving of invoices from Vendors track expenses and process expense reports
  • Answering phone calls in a friendly and professional manner
  • Performing backup duties as needed with the accounting team
  • Protecting the company's value by keeping information confidential
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

Requirements:


  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience
  • MS Office skills, including intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset
  • Strong verbal written and communication skills
  • Detailed oriented and ability to problem solve

$45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
