Job Overview

Responsibilities for Quality Control Manager

  • Collaborate with the upper management team to set quality benchmarks
  • Create standards in accordance with industry standards and customer expectations
  • Identify quality control processes to ensure criteria are met at all times
  • Execute tests to check final product adherence to the company standards
  • Record findings and relay this information to the production team
  • Brainstorm ideas to increase productivity and performance of the production line while maintaining accuracy in quality
  • Make crucial decisions in favor of costefficiency without compromising on quality
  • Oversee production to ensure conformity in final product processing
  • Devise and review specifications for products or processes
  • Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
  • Approve the right products or reject defectives
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
  • AdvisevUpper Management of any developing issues or potential issues that could arise, in a timely manner
  • Produce timely and quality periodic reports/analyses that are required at the Senior Manager level
  • Ability to create, track and present overall Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success
  • Write detailed reports to explain their results to production managers and corporate leadership
  • Hold meetings with production and engineering leadership to gather detailed information about company procedures and practices
  • Attend meetings with senior management to report on and discuss quality control issues
  • Monitor finished products to confirm their compliance with quality standards and remove those which fail to comply
  • Identify and implement solutions and process improvements that advance quality measures
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure quality system compliance
  • Point of contact with auditors in support of external audits
  • Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting personnel, management and vendors
  • Employ organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact operations. When obstacles arise, employ sound decision making/ problemsolving skills to resolve the issue.
  • Test case development, traceability to design and requirements, test cycle planning all with the intention of generating sound operational data to support Product Quality KPIs that will help us prioritize improvement areas.

Qualifications for Quality Control Manager

  • University degree in Management, Engineering or Administration / Operations
  • Diploma or degree in Quality (Six Sigma Training or certifications Green or Black belt)
  • 710 years of Quality Control/Management Experience in manufacturing industry
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics
  • Proven experience as a quality manager in a production processing environment
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Great team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • A keen eye for detail and with a resultsdriven approach
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in crossfunctional teams

Job Types:

Salary:
$80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
