We are looking for a Service Delivery Intern to join us for a 4 month internship at our Toronto office.


You will support the URS Service Delivery Customer Centre by assisting with incoming and outgoing Repair deliveries and effectively and efficiently supporting all activities to ensure on-time delivery and meeting our KPI commitments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Unpack, inspect, and receive equipment being returned to Thales for repair
  • Verify the accuracy of equipment received against information documented in the repair order/RMA
  • Log received items into SAP once validated
  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles, and stack or pile returned items and sort them according to projects
  • Assist with all shipping functions and transactions within SAP to ensure ontime service to our customers and vendors
  • Perform the same support functions for shipments being sent to Thales' vendors for thirdparty repair
  • Assist with keeping customers/vendors informed about the status of shipments leaving Thales' facilities
  • Assist internal and external customers with inquiries relative to international shipping, customs requirements, shipment tracing, billing and invoicing questions, and general requests for information
  • Pack deliveries for shipment back to customer
  • Assist with transporting items that cannot be shipped from Thales' Moatfield location to the Scarsdale warehouse for skidding
  • Ability to lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Prepare and/or update project plans for process improvement initiatives or new process/tools implementations
  • Manage and track projects per plan and schedule. Provide status reports as required
  • Complete assigned project tasks as they relate to process improvement initiatives and projects
  • Support Life Cycle Support team with various tasks including, creation of maintenance bulletins, creation of databases, collection of technical information, etc.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Fluent in English both in written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work onsite full time hours (40 hours) with the start date and the agreed work term
  • Excellent computer skills and very strong organization skills
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Significant experience with data analysis, report writing and business improvement activities
  • A very high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive and pressure situations
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, positive team environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with ERP (SAP preferably) environment managing procurement, inventory management, sales management#LI-NS1
