Wage:
$35/hour


Hours of Work:40 hrs/week, overtime may be required


Job Type:
Permanent, Full-Time


SUMMARY:

A Residential Plumber plans, installs and services plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls in existing or new homes.


JOB DUTIES:


  • Study building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and materials
  • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
  • Cut holes through walls and floors to accommodate pipes
  • Select the type and size of pipe required and measuring, cutting, threading, bending, clamping, solvent cementing or soldering pipe
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings
  • Join pipe sections and secure them in position, then test pipe systems for leaks
  • Install and service drains, vents, and waterlines with domestic hot water heaters, gas lines, tubs, showers, fixtures and faucets
  • Size, install, test, adjust and service natural gas and propane equipment ranging from residential furnaces to boilers
  • Install and service hot water (hydronic) heating complete with boilers
  • Adhere to Safety Program and Policies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Journeyman Plumber Certification or completion of Level 6 Plumbing Certificate (Issued by FETAC/QQI)
  • Intermediate level of English language proficiency
  • 5 Year commercial driver abstract with insurance & claims history
  • 3 Years of relevant experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently or in a team in a variety of conditions
  • Strength, stamina, and agility
  • Completion of online Construction Safety Training System course prior to orientation
