As our clientele continues to grow we are looking to expand and add a new member to our team. Taxsmart is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to work at our north London office.

Job Description:


  • Handling and processing weekly and biweekly payrolls for assigned clients
  • Conducting the full cycle accounting function for organizations and working closely with them to organize work to meet client deadlines and business needs
  • Precisely recording client invoices, employee expenses and supplier invoices
  • Preparing Government remittances for payroll, HST, EHT and WSIB
  • Managing payroll and benefits including all remittances and reporting
  • Reconciling bank and credit care statements and analyzing balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
  • Preparing month and year end working papers
  • Researching and reconciling discrepancies and ensuring that the accounting is in good order
  • Proficiently using software such as Quickbook, Quickbooks Online and Sage50
  • 3+ years experience in Bookkeeping
  • Proficient in Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Sage50, Word and Excel
- can prepare tax returns using Taxcycle

  • Ability to work standard Monday-Friday shift with the possibility of weekend work dependent on clients needs

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • LONDON, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:


  • QuickBooks: 3 years (required)
  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)
