Description

Train with our technician prior to his retirement. Work and study towards certification through welding equipment specialists Miller and Lincoln in the US. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is mechanically and electronically inclined, with a genuine interest in a career as a certified welding equipment repair technician.

DUTIES:

1. Learn to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on welding equipment
2. May be required to work off site for specific clients
3. Participate in training programs to develop the skills and knowledge that will lead to certification
4. Follow all safety guidelines and regulations
5. Maintain clean work area
6. Perform work in a neat, orderly fashion
7. Ensure tools and equipment are kept in excellent condition
8. Complete required reports and forms
9. Track time and materials used on each job

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
2. Computer literate
3. Knack for troubleshooting
4. Willingness to learn from our experienced technicians
5. Positive 'Can Do' attitude
6. Ability to follow technical manual guidelines
7. Commitment to customer satisfaction – professional, respectful, and courteous
8. Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
9. Detail oriented
10. Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
11. Ability to lift 50 pounds
12. Driver's license with a clear abstract
