WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?


This position reports to the Director, Professional & National Events and will assist with supporting the overall calendar development of the National Events department, Junior Nationals and ITF junior event execution.

As well as the planning and delivery of the University Championships held in August.

In addition, it includes supporting administrative tasks and onsite executions taking place for events occurring for juniors, masters, professional and wheelchair tennis.


  • Junior Nationals & National Junior Open Series
  • Assist with the delivery of junior nationals via planning meetings and onsite execution as Tournament Director, at identified events
  • Coordinate feedback and recommendations for future implementation
  • Support the provincial entry process
  • ITF Junior Events
  • Work with ITF junior event organizers to ensure the successful planning and delivery of their events
  • Coordinate feedback and recommendations for future implementation
of events and calendar

  • Provide VISA invitation letters to participants upon request
  • University Championships
  • Support the planning and execution of the event, which includes budgeting
  • Support the execution of branding and partnership of USPORTS
  • Other Related Activities
  • Coordinate the annual Tennis Canada national calendar
  • Assist with various administrative support of the events department
  • Assist with onsite execution, for identified events
  • Support masters' tennis calendar of events and assist with seeding process
  • Liaison with officiating department on budgets and event planning to ensure alignment and success of the events
  • Support other initiatives as requested

WHO YOU ARE?

  • University Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills as well as an independent work ethic
  • Positive, passionate and hardworking
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients at all levels within the organization
  • Well organized, ability to maintain a number of different projects concurrently
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain tight schedules and work in a dynamic and serviceoriented team environment
  • Energetic, selfmotivated
  • Knowledge and experience in tennis and coaching (asset)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Evening & weekend shifts occasionally required
  • 4month fixed term contract
