- Prepare the design and complete load calculations, schematics, equipment selection, etc.
- Prepare the contract documents including the specifications.
- Evaluate shop drawing reviews.
- Ensure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable.
- Coordinate with other disciplines both internally and externally.
- Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings
- Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
- Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline required.
- Professional Engineering Designation in Quebec (ing.) is required.
- 7+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings.
- Strong background knowledge in Building Design with an emphasis on mechanical systems (HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with the LEED accreditation process is an asset.
