Role Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is accountable for administering the Collective Agreement and HR programs, policies, and procedures and for meeting the Plant's staffing needs for hourly/salaried positions in support of business priorities.

The position provides guidance and advice to employees and responds to a variety of Human Resources related questions.

Key Accountabilities:

In collaboration with Plant Manager, Manager, Human Resources, Director, Human Resources Operations, and other key stakeholders, develop annual HR plan that addresses key business objectives.
Track, analyze and report on key HR metrics and make recommendations on action, if required.
Organize and attend Labour/Management Monthly meetings and distribution of minutes.

Qualification:

Diploma or Certificate in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience.
Excellent knowledge and experience in HR functions
Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity; promoting ideas, developing plans and execution.
Experience in Labour Relations; grievance management; interpretation of collective agreement.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, problem solving and analytical skills.
Driving licenses G2 or G required.

Dimensions (annual & approximate)

Approx. 300 employees (unionized and salaried; 2 locations).
This role is not Hybrid. Required to be in Plant 5 days a week.
