- Own the planning and development of product reviews and make recommendations to improve or retire products where applicable
- Independently lead the end-to-end development and implementation of actions resulting from the recommendations of the post-launch product reviews and/or ad-hoc product initiatives
- Assess competitive information by proactively keeping on top of the latest customer, industry and competitive developments
- Incorporate customer insights to translate trends into tangible PI product opportunities
- Lead various product development initiatives, collaborating with all applicable partners across the organization while adhering to applicable governance standards.
- Support senior product managers in driving initiatives, performing analyses, and driving actions
- Successful delivery of product initiatives – new products, simplifications to existing products, the retirement of old products
- Post-launch Product Reviews – as scheduled throughout the year
- Product and Competitor Reviews – identifying trends and opportunities (with recommendations)
- Undergraduate degree in business or other related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience with personal P&C insurance
- Candidates with prior experience in product development and/or product management preferred
- Detailed knowledge of personal insurance products and the regulatory environment is an asset
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence partners
- Disciplined and organized – strong project management skills
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess both quantitative and qualitative value of opportunities
- Ability to summarize key insights and recommendations in senior management communications
- Ability to independently research and engage external parties to assess product opportunities
