The Canadian Benefits & Pension Coordinator will provide support to the Canadian Benefits Specialist, Pension Specialists, HR Shared Services and Payroll for all questions relating to system interfaces with our external program administrators, changes of rules in IT management system, reconciliations, and contribution of remittances to Treasury.
- Support the administration of Canadian Health & Welfare benefit plans, including medical, prescription, dental, life and disability through the use of thirdparty providers.
- Collaborate with COE Canadian Benefits Advisor, COE Pension, Payroll and Accounting and HRIS departments as needed in the execution of compliance, operational audits, data analytics and complex benefits administration and pension activities.
- Validate system data compliance to ensure results are adequate for various requests pertaining to pension plans, 401(k) and health and welfare benefits.
- Prepare electronic transfer requests for each of the appropriate plans and ensure the accuracy of the data transferred; handle manual corrections to files,
- Develop process documentation and reference documents for all aspects of Canadian Benefits and Pension administration.
- Review invoices, monthly/quarterly reconciliation, and funding processes.
- Execute compliance, operational audits, and data analytics as they relates to transactional activity.
- Review the provider's processes and examine exceptions or errors; ensure that information on demographic changes, data collection, contributions, salaries, and hours worked is consistent.
- Participate in the annual validation of pension adjustment and taxable benefit amounts
- Assist and support internal and external auditors during annual audits.
- Answer questions and provide assistance to various internal resources as needed.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:
- College or University degree in administration, accounting or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pension and benefit plans;
- Proficiency in SAP is an invaluable asset;
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, meticulousness and an ability to summarize information;
- Good communication skills in English*, working knowledge of French
- 2+ years of proven technical experience with HRIS systems and processes, interfacing with SAP, Easy Vista or similar shared service systems preferred.
- Advanced proficiencies in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook and PowerPoint);
