About the team

Futures Innovation explore and test new opportunity spaces that can drive disruptive and adjacent innovation in existing and new business lines.

Partnering with innovation and commercial teams across the company, we will ensure that lululemon continues to be the at the forefront of the future of clothing, sweat and wellbeing in ways that support our people & planet.

The Concept Manager role will lead the creation and testing of innovation concepts through combining foresight, scientific research, corporate strategy, channel and guest needs to create net new value propositions to guests.

These products/services have not been invented yet so a growth mindset with the ability to think big and break paradigms is key, while being able to synthesize this thinking into specific and actionable concepts is essential.

Have the tools, methods and processes to innovate beyond existing available solutions to create real, tangible and testable concepts.
Manage and incorporate scientific, technical, user and market experts and information into the innovation process.
Are an expert in synthesis of available information with the ability to create and advocate for a unique and commercial point of view.
Lead and facilitate the development and testing of proof of concept with passion.
Have the ability to influence internal and external teams & stakeholders through expert relationship building and succinct, clear communication.

Key Skills

Innovation Proficiency & Leadership:

Expert at leading teams through the innovation process to structure ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, test concepts, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations and commercial outcomes.
Possess a deep toolkit of methodologies, and frameworks and ability to interpret multiple skillsets (i.e. Design, Research, Business, Brand).
Strong creativity and problemsolving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and challenge assumptions productively.

Project Management:

Proven ability to plan, execute and monitor project timelines including managing resources, budgets, vendor contracts and relationships.

Communication:

Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas, inspire teams, and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications:

510 years of experience in fastpaced R&D / Innovation / Strategy environments with a focus product innovation with experience delivering breakthrough innovation in sports / wellness.
35 years experience delivering breakthrough innovation in sports / wellness.
Masters or PhD in business, science, engineering or technology.
Expert at interpreting multiple skillsets (i.e. Design, Research, Business, Brand) toward a strategic commercial outcome.
Thorough understanding of intellectual property and patents
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
