WHO YOU ARE:


Reporting to the Buying Manager, the Buyer, who has a passion for fashion and an eye for the latest trends, will provide administrative support to the team to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.

This position is for a maternity leave coverage.

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Manages assortment and merchandise planning for their commodities;
  • Buyers will deal with the daytoday dealings with suppliers;
  • Buyer will be responsible for managing budget, margins and negotiating costs;
  • Responsible for the timely management of purchase orders;
  • Track production to ensure accuracy and timeliness;
  • Assist in fittings;
  • Supporting with label changes, approval of bookings, sample filing, various followups;
  • Ensures the management of samples from various vendors;
  • Develops strong communications with vendors to ensure followthrough;
  • Ability to analyze sales and react to support business objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 2 years minimum in a similar role;
  • University level degree or related experience;
  • Proficient in basic MSOffice software;
  • Bilingualism required (French and English);
  • Strong collaborator;
  • Good presentation and communication skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and be flexible;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Results oriented;
  • Strong team player;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize;
