As a
Full-Time Youth Worker at our youth therapeutic
program **located in
Burnaby, **you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to at-risk youth with complex mental health and behavioural challenges.

The full-time position available is:
-
3pm-11pm shifts, Sunday-Thursday

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with atrisk youth
Youth Services and/or Special Needs experience is an asset
Experience performing outreach
Experience or knowledge of traumainformed care
Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with youth
Clear and concise written and verbal communication
Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Ministry of Children and Family Development consolidated check (takes up to 6 weeks to process so please plan accordingly)
Proof of COVID19 double vaccination record or exemption from the provincial health authority
Valid Driver's License is an asset

A sample of what you'll be doing:

Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
Building positive working relationships with the youth, their families, community members, and other professionals (e.g. social workers, probation officers)
Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
Performing outreach as needed
Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans

Salary:
$22.70-$24.00/hour plus benefits
