- Office renovations**We are looking to hire an experienced General Construction Estimator. This role will also include some business development and project coordination.
Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation in the Lower Mainland and be willing and able to obtain a criminal record clearance.
- Be a hard-working, organized, personable team player who is detail oriented.
- Have commercial estimating and tendering experience in the Lower Mainland, BC.
- Current knowledge of the BC building codes.
- Have knowledge and experience in the coordination and scheduling of projects through the full construction cycle.
- Be a proactive problem-solver that can manage multiple bids with positive results.
- Proficient in numeracy and computer programs including Excel.
- Able to read and interpret scopes of work, specifications, architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- #1. Customer service relations_
- Communicate in a professional manner with consultants, trades, and suppliers to ensure ongoing positive relationships while creating strong new relationships.
- Schedule meetings with clients, site managers, and other professionals as needed.
- Prepare detailed estimate budget costs for multiple project proposals running concurrently by studying plans and specifications to include costs and scheduling impacts involved in completing the project.
- Visit project sites to gather information, photos, and measurements.
- Research and source best pricing from qualified subcontractors.
- Present budgets, reports, and project plans concisely for efficient and profitable completion.
- Stay up to date with BC building codes, safety codes, and construction improvements.
- Utilize spreadsheets and company software to input dimensions and other data to calculate projected costs of proposed projects.
- Work with the RJS team to identify the size and types of ideal projects.
- Research, identify, and pursue new opportunities in target markets for ideal clients for single or ongoing projects.
- Assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with administrative funtions, communications and processes throughout the project.
- Maintain accurate data in CRM.
- Compile all tender results to present to the Management team.
- Accurately complete all expense forms and travel logs.
Wage:
$ $38.00 depending on level of experience.

$25.00-$38.00 per hour
