- Business Development: Research, plan, and execute an extensive customer contact program including new and prospective customers for the Ebenezer Agro department.
- Building Partnerships and Client Support: Demonstrate transparent and respectful communication while consulting with in-house agronomy and supplier experts to understand/promote/deliver innovative solutions to growers, updating and maintaining accurate customer records in the existing CRM/ POS system, and supporting customers above and beyond, when required.
- Driving Sales: Accountable for meeting budgeted targets for sales volumes, margins, and customer contacts.
- Growth Mindset: Participate in marketing discussions alongside the Agro Division Manager/Agro Manager and apply an expert level of operational knowledge, commodity direction, and organizational skills to assist in product and service procurement. * Safety-sensitive positions require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Must have Grade 12.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's license throughout employment, be willing to travel, and be available on call during days, weekends, work evenings, holidays, and long days when required by the customers.
- Must have at least 1 year of Agriculture or related industry experience. Preference is given to those possessing an Agriculture Degree/Diploma or Certificate from a recognized institution in Agriculture or Agriculture business.
- Must have confidence with the ability to communicate, consult, and offer reliable solutions respectfully and persuasively with any internal and external customers.
- Possess business acumen skills with an ability to build a customer base, control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency, and improve sales and growth margin.
- You are experienced in computer skills with an intermediate understanding of MS Office Suite. Prior POS/ CRM experience is an asset.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability and the ability to deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times.
