Glenmore Custom Print & Packaging is one of the leading packaging & commercial printers in the Pacific Northwest and we are looking for an experienced
Logistics & Warehouse Manager Reporting into the COO, this role would be ideal for a versatile leader who is capable of leading strategically as well as providing hands-on support with day-to-day operations.


The incumbent will mainly work at our head office location in Richmond and visit the off-site warehouse (10 minute drive) on an as-needed basis.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure effective and efficient operation of shipping and receiving departments and offsite warehouse (e.g. optimal allocation of manpower and resources, streamline processes)
  • Lead and maximize performance of a team of around 4 staff (driver, receiver, warehouse supervisor) while taking a handson approach to facilitating shipping/receiving
  • Help develop SOPs and ensure compliance with company policy and local legislation
  • Create packing slips and provide accurate documentation (e.g. billing) to other departments
  • Setup routes for the delivery driver
  • Collect courier quotes and set up shipments
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g. bindery, project management) to ensure orders are delivered ontime
  • Familiarity and competence with crossborder shipments of all types
  • Manage all logistics matters, warehouse inventory, and department budget

Required Availability:


  • Monday to Friday, 6am/7am to 3:30pm/4:30pm; overtime will be required from time to time
  • Occasionally cover weekend shift per business needs

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 7 years of shipping/receiving, logistics and warehouse inventory experience (at least 3 years in a supervisor/manager capacity), preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 years of experience leading a small team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, criticalthinking and problemsolving skills
  • Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to operate the forklift is a great asset
  • Training in logistics, operations management or a related field is a great asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
