Job description:
We are also open to hiring a Junior Project Manager where the person has demonstrable success as a Project Coordinator for at least 3 years working the construction industry as a PC.
The Project Manager will work reporting to the president and/or project director to ensure a successful completion of the projects.
A leader in all areas, the team member will make difficult but morally, legally and ethically correct decisions with confidence.
As an expert in communication and keeping a level head under pressure, you will ensure the success of the project in the areas of safety, quality, finances and schedule.

Job responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the successful execution of projects, in accordance with contract and quality requirements.
- Point of contact between client, consultants, trades, and site superintendent to facilitate the project from conception to completion.
- Management of site work, keeping project scope on budget and on schedule.
- Coordinate with all required project (internal and external) resources to develop execution planning deliverables, including construction supervision, technical staff, engineering, quality control, safety, performance, subcontractors, client stakeholders, etc.
- Ensure project is constructed in compliance with drawings and specifications/codes
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Site Superintendents, General Foremen and Project Coordinators and others within our team environment
- Review and approve purchasing requisitions, subcontracts, and invoice payments
- Reviewing and submitting progress claims for our clients
Job prerequisites and qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience with all OHS regulations and assurance that OHS&E is our top priority
- 3 to 7 years of successful and progressively responsible construction experience as a project manager
- Completion of a construction technology and/or management program
- Completion of Architectural and Engineering Technology or similar program from BCIT is a definite asset
- A red seal in carpentry or other trade is a definite asset
- Understanding of construction standards, methods, assemblies, plans, specifications, regulations, and codes
- Extremely good skills in project management software including MS Office suite, Bluebeam, Procore and others
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, management, crew and subtrades.
- Strong sense of construction timelines, order of scheduling, subtrade management and budgets.
- Diligent and keen attention to detail
- Ability to execute reliably in a fastpaced environment
Salary:
$100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
