Job summary

This position is responsible for the performance of the Building Divisions electronic portals and permit related programs. The Application Support coordinator will provide customer service to external users requiring assistance in completing building permit applications and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
The role involves gathering user requirements and business needs from internal/external users of Building portals, working with vendors to ensure user requirements are met, maintaining a bug list from internal and external user complaints and managing them by priority with applicable internal or external software teams,
Evaluate processes document procedures build automation to ensure effective efficient business practices. Create process maps in Visio similar software Ensure all electronic portals programs are up to date current fees as per the Building By-law other applicable User Fee By-laws Prepare procedures documentation including creating detailed instructions user guides for internal external users as applicable including production of video tutorials available on the City website for externals Develop necessary reports aid analyzing functionality systems required time frames any other reports deemed necessary by the Building Division Deliver Training Provide day-to-day support all internals externals Triage service requests determine appropriate resolution Troubleshot assess when escalate ITS/software provider required Perform duties assigned directly related major responsibilities job.
