This is a short term temporary role, budgeted for 8 consecutive weeks.


JOB PURPOSE:


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support the ongoing work of the Regional CII Coordinator which includes but is not limited to: scaling out UWBC initiatives, such as iVolunteer and Period Promise, updating regional partnership information, cohosting virtual events, and relaying information to community partners as needed.
  • Ensure that UWBC community events, sector strengthening workshops and celebrations are supported.
  • Support nonprofit sector strengthening work in conjunction with Tapestry Evaluation.
  • Support Day of Caring/ivolunteer events, including requests, matching workplaces with UWBC community partners, and participation in worksite activities.
  • Supporting the Regional CII Coordinator with regional investments and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:


  • Strong communications background including written work
  • Experience working in a team environment yet comfortable working independently
  • An overall understanding of the nonprofit sector within the Thompson, Nicola, Cariboo Regions
  • General computer skills and experience with office equipment, including virtual platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and independent selfstarter
  • Event management/planning experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am
  • 4:30pm
  • Access to a vehicle considered an asset

This is a bargaining unit role with CUPE Local 1760, and pay rate for this role is $19.14
