Role Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the development and expansion of our commercial and HVAC team
2. Perform field services to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
3. Conduct contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and respond to service requests
4. Attend bid meetings, providing valuable insights and assistance for sales to complete bid/tender packages
5. Collaborate with sub-contractors to execute work and provide accurate information for sales estimates
6. Communicate effectively with customers to recommend necessary upgrades or repairs
7. Demonstrate self-sufficiency by generating new work and leads for sales follow-up
8. Partner closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
9. Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective communication
10. Maintain a professional appearance and ensure that all workspaces, including vehicles and equipment, are clean and well-organized
11. Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and on time
12. Utilize advanced software and technology, along with a variety of hand tools and rigging equipment, to diagnose and repair equipment
13. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining security and accountability of company-issued assets
14. Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service
15. Participate in the on-call rotation for 24/7 service coverage, with flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

1. Refrigeration Mechanic - Red Seal
2. Gasfitter – B Ticket, with the ability to pull permits as needed
3. 10+ years of Journeyman experience
4. Diverse HVAC and Refrigeration background with experience in:
1. Large and small air handling units
2. Refrigeration systems (Racks, Condensing units, self-contains)
3. Dehumidifiers (mechanical and desiccant)
4. Boilers (natural draft, forced air, and high efficiency)
5. Hydronic systems (heat pumps, heat recovery loops, etc.)
6. Chillers (screws)
7. Ice machines
5. Ability to diagnose and install electrical and controls specific to refrigeration and HVAC equipment
6. Experience interacting with DDC, PLC, and BMS automation systems
7. Self-sufficient and able to generate new work and leads
8. Professional and presentable
9. Strong administrative skills, including:
1. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 software
2. Familiarity with tablet-based paperwork and documentation
3. Properly filling out paperwork and ability to write professional emails
4. Providing detailed information for sales follow-up when needed
5. Physical ability to complete all required job tasks.
6. Valid driver's license

Additional Desired Qualifications (not required)

1. Gasfitter – "A" Ticket
2. 15+ years of Journeyman experience
3. CO2 refrigeration experience (Trans-critical, Sub-Critical, and Cascade)
4. Experience with centrifugal chillers
5. Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems (industrial and recreational)
6. Estimating and Sales Experience
