    N-able Technologies seeks a Sr Architect to drive the technical architecture and development of business systems fueling N-able's growth. These systems include ERP, CRM, Billing, Accounting, and other critical platforms. The role demands deep software engineering expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to deliver enterprise-grade solutions, especially leveraging AI/ML technologies.

    What You'll Do


    Core Responsibilities:

    • Shape and communicate technology strategy for business solutions.
    • Act as a thought leader, challenging the status quo and driving technology decisions.
    • Set technical direction for products and represent them with stakeholders.
    • Influence internal and external technical teams; collaborate with Product Managers to identify and mitigate technical risks early.

    Solution Architecture & Design

    • Architect and deliver enterprise-grade solutions, including SaaS applications, for complex business scenarios.
    • Define application integration and interaction across IT systems.
    • Create models, proof-of-concepts, and diagrams for data flow and system interactions.
    • Implement standard practices and express strategic engineering requirements across engineering teams.

    AI Solution Delivery

    • Architect and deliver solutions leveraging AI/ML technologies to solve complex business problems and drive measurable outcomes.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in modern AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and cloud-based AI services (Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI).
    • Design, evaluate, and optimize AI models for scalability, reliability, and maintainability in production environments.
    • Lead build/buy analysis for AI solutions, including vendor selection, open-source evaluation, and custom development trade-offs.
    • Set technical direction for AI adoption, including data strategy, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI practices (privacy, bias mitigation, explainability).
    • Mentor engineering teams on AI best practices, architecture patterns, and deployment strategies.
    • Stay ahead of AI trends and translate emerging capabilities into actionable business opportunities.

    Technical Excellence & Mentorship

    • Master one or more programming languages; demonstrate proficiency in backend services, web development, and concurrency.
    • Research and evaluate technical solutions; perform build/buy analysis.
    • Mentor developers and architects on best practices and technical direction.

    This position has a starting base salary range of $113,000 to $150,000 CAD per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for bonus.
