Position:
Full time - Temporary Contract Position (with possibility of extension)****JOB SUMMARY:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Equipment cleaning, housekeeping, snow removal from GSE as required.
  • Shop upkeep including cleaning, parts storage, inventory and organization.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on GSE per the GSE Manager and preventative maintenance program (oil/filter changes etc.)
  • Troubleshoot GSE challenges and report to the GSE Manager.
  • Track and provided reports on GSE performance and deficiencies.
  • Liaise with 3rd party support companies.
  • Attend all required training sessions and successfully complete training courses.
  • Decal installation per company requirements.
  • Touch up painting, cosmetic work and overall appearance standards to be met.
  • Data entry into Hippo (Asset Management Program) for GSE.
  • Admin responsibility for Hippo.
  • Dialogue with local GSE support team members (if available).
  • Provide mechanical support to sister companies and equipment as required.
  • Actively participate in company safety programs.
  • Work as a team member in a safe, efficient, professional manner.
  • Follow safe disposal requirements for hazardous products.
  • Adhere to published uniform standards and requirements.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and safe workplace procedures.
  • Travel (air or road) as required to other Maintair stations and sister company stations.
  • Perform deicing operations as a backup (when needed).
  • Other duties as required from time to time, as provided my management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have 23 years previous mechanical / small engine / diesel experience.
  • Must have valid driver's license with clean abstract.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID1
  • Ability to speak, write and understand the English language.
  • Previous airline experience would be an asset.
  • Must have sound understanding of parts inventory and cataloguing.
  • Must have excellent team player competencies.
  • Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of Google, Office and Hippo Asset Management.
  • Must be able to work with mínimal supervision, and/or in a team environment working varied and/or split shifts.
  • Must be willing to adapt to the changing nature of aviation.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
