Work Description


The Superintendent is responsible for 354 Gladstone/349 McLeod Ave, a high standard quality building by providing superior maintenance, supervision, administration, and client services.


Overview of Major Responsibilities

  • Assists the property management team as required to efficiently maintain the property
  • Performs minor electrical, plumbing repairs, painting, and general maintenance
  • Responds to owner/resident requests/complaints in a courteous, friendly, prompt and professional manner while onsite
  • Completes building inspections on a daily basis including exterior site inspections and reports any problems to the Property Manager
  • Supervise outside contractors working on site, ensure scope of work is being completed, review and report to the Property Manager when work is finalized
  • Maintains and checks operating logs
  • Maintains suitable inventory of building maintenance and cleaning supplies
  • Maintains a clean and safe workplace
  • Promotes and maintains site safety and security
  • Maintains and/or supervises daily, weekly and monthly building cleanliness/maintenance requirements
  • Maintain and/or assist in grounds keeping and exterior repairs
  • Ensure that work areas and mechanical rooms are clean and properly maintained
  • Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly
  • Snow removal, as required
  • Removal of garbage bins, newspaper bin and recycling bins for pickup, returns bins

Statement of Qualifications:


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years building maintenance experience
  • Training or Experience in the areas of carpentry, light plumbing work, air conditioning, refurbishing and cleaning, painting and light electrical work is preferred.
  • Experience with the use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and power tools
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques
  • Knowledge of Fire Plan and Work Place Safety Programs
  • Vehicle, valid driver's license and criminal record check required

Salary:
$23.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week


Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
