Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA):


  • Job Duties
    Job Duties
  • Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general wellbeing.
  • Facilitate and support camp programs.
  • Follow and enforce all camp rules and policies.
  • Effectively communicate with campers, staff, and parents
  • Help campers adjust to camp and to each other; emphasize selfrespect and respect for others; promote positive, healthy friendships; encourage through motivation.
  • Provides enjoyable experiences while still in a learning environment for camp participants.
  • Motivate campers to actively participate in all camp activities.
  • Complete daily and weekly paperwork
  • Defensive Driving course (considered an asset)
  • Biking Safety course (considered an asset)
  • QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

  • Must have completed grade 11 and be registered to return to high school or postsecondary for fall 202
  • Strong communication, organizational, time management skills.
  • Able to work with youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Responsible, friendly, enthusiastic, patient, and willing to learn.
  • Able to work in a team and independently.
  • Must have a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • First Aid/CPR (considered an asset but not necessary)
  • Hold a valid driver's license
