The Edmonton Zone Workforce Advisory Committee (EZWAC) works collaboratively and comprehensively to address and support workforce challenges and opportunities within the zone.

The Advisory Committee facilitates strategies and actions in alignment with the Provincial Workforce Task Force (WFTF) strategic direction and priority pillars established in the Health Workforce Action Plan.

The EZWAC is looking for a Project Manager to provide leadership and project planning support to the Workforce Advisory Committee.

This position reports directly to the Chief Zone Officer of the Edmonton Zone and operates with a high degree of independence.


Description:


In this Project Manager, you have the opportunity to contribute to strategic planning, business case development, system design, change management, and systematic evaluation initiatives under the purview of the EZWAC.

Additionally, you will be accountable for the full scope of EZWAC project management from initiation and planning to execution and evaluation.

This role requires the ability to identify and use appropriate project, process improvement and change management tools and evaluation frameworks to support various initiatives.

A vital component to this Project Manager position is forming and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders (internal and external to AHS) to foster and promote collaboration in the development and implementation of service plans and initiatives.

In this leadership role, you will chair and participate in working groups, advance and communicate critical project processes, principles, and key performance indicators.

In collaboration with the EZWAC, your objective is to manage the scope of health workforce initiatives and alignment of priorities with corporate goals and evolving site, program, zone and provincial needs and issues.

Success in this position requires strategizing and leading creative solutions, leveraging opportunities for new service delivery initiatives, and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

Post secondary degree or diploma in business administration, communications, project management, or health care administration.


Additional Required Qualifications:

1-3 years planning or project management experience.

Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results on-time and on-budget.

Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to engage and build collaborative relationships with staff, volunteers, physicians, patients, families, leaders, vendors and community partners. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.


Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management Certification. Strong group facilitation, presentation and engagement skills. Ability to relate to diverse age, cultural, and demographic backgrounds.
