We are currently seeking Counsellors to join our Counselling team.

The Counselling program provides comprehensive assessment, collaborative treatment plans and case management for children and youth who are struggling with mental health issues, and their families.

Hours of Work: 35 hours a week (Days & Evenings)


Responsibilities:


  • Provide officebased and/or virtual counselling up to 6 months, or as determined by client need
  • Develop and deliver treatment and intervention plans in conjunction with the client, based upon a comprehensive, strengthbased ecological assessment
  • Provide case management for children, youth and their families, including working collaboratively with formal and informal support systems
  • Maintain professional documentation, in the form of assessments, progress reports, discharge summaries, and statistical information
  • Participate in weekly Peer and monthly Individual supervision
  • Establish and maintain professional alliances with collateral agencies and service providers
  • Work flexible hours related to the treatment needs of the clients, regular evening work will be required
  • Travel to external meetings within the Peel region will be required occasionally

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor of Social Work or related undergraduate degree; Master's degree in Social Work is considered an asset
  • Registration within the professional regulating body of either the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario in good standing is required
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience working with children, youth and families with complex needs
  • Knowledge of and experience in the delivery of clinical interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Trauma informed therapy
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multineed clients utilizing a goalfocused approach
  • Fluency in French or a language other than English is considered an asset

Salary Range:
$47,395 - $56,668 yearly
